Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long do I have to keep my records?
A: A seven (7) year retention period is very common, but in many cases the legal retention period may be just a few months or you may need to keep the record permenantly. Please contact File Center and one of our consultants can help steer you in the right direction.
Q: Do you offer fire protection?
A: Yes, of course. Our facility is designed to safeguard your documents. We utilize a dry-pipe fire suppression system that will protect your records in case of a fire, while mitigating any potential damages that could occur with water in the suppression system itself. It’s a win-win combination that provides you with peace of mind.
A: There are monthly storage costs and service costs based on the services required to effectively manage your files (retrieval, delivery, indexing etc…). In many cases the monthly cost can be as little as $25.00 per month!
